This ariticle talks about cyber warfare and the ability to hack into this Country's most safe areas. A decade ago, people started to worry that others might be able to hack the governments hard drive and, through the use of technology, hurt its safe haven. It was just a theory, but it has all happened since then. People have been able to steal millions of dollars from banks all over the world, infiltrate our defense systems, and hack our weapon systems, all through the use of technology and the internet.
To me, this means that we are not safe. With the invention of the internet and the techonology used to form the internet, our safety as a country has been easily hacked and used by people who desire nothing but physical gain and to hurt us. It's all a game to them and since we leave our computers and software with little or no protection, we make it much easier for them.
If thats the case, I think Obama and the government are right by saying that technological warfare is much more then theory and we need to talk the right proceedures to fix it all.

Technology Blog #5
In this article, it talks about the dangers of the Internet, and the benefits. Some people use the Internet for a business promoter, a friend finder and to keep in touch with people they wouldn't be able to, otherwise. But others, teenagers mostly, are using it for cyber-bullying and other inappropriate uses. Some people think that stuff like a girl's suicide because of cyber-bullying would have happened without the temptation of Internet, and we all just need to keep ourselves in check.
People use the Internet as a distraction from their day-to-day lives, but sometimes we all need an escape from that escape. People will get away from town a few days and turn off their cell phones, black berries, and leave their laptops at home, just spending time with the family and communicating effectively. The sudden boost of technology our world has gotten is an overload, in my opinion.
While I love texting friends and I love being able to look at people's pictures on Facebook or their profiles on Myspace, we all need to take a break every once in a while. If everyone thought about the amount of time they're on the computer, a lot more could be done, and a lot less bad could happen. If people weren't so concerned about what others think, that girl probably would have laughed off the cyber-bullying and still be alive today. Being less attached could benefit us all.
